Geography
Lanzarote, in particular, is a geographer's dream.
With over 360 volcanoes in resident many geography teachers get very excited when they talk about coming to visit, and pupils leave sharing the same enthusiasm!
But of course the above ground rock formations are only half of the story. Submarine volcanoes and impressive underwater rock formations serve the GCSE, IB, AS and A2 specifications. In fact there are distinct dives that incorporate geographical features of interest.

As an example, current trips concentrate on the following:
- Plate Tectonics
- Vulcanicity
- Case Studies
- Causes and Characteristics of Earthquakes, Seisimicity and Tsunamis.

Topics and Units
- Geography Edexcel GCE Unit 4
- Geography AQA GCE 2030 A2 Unit 3 Option 1, Spec B
- Geography OCR GCSE Theme B, GCE 9632 2.2.5, IGCSE
- Geography Level 3 GCE AS Level3 and A2 Level 3

Alongside the diving and underwater examples of volcanic action most schools ensure they visit Timnafaya National Park. At the Park you can marvel at the sheer heat and volcanic activity; dry bush that immediately blazes into flame when thrown into holes in the ground, or the water that erupts seconds later when thrown in too.
321dive can organise this at a small supplementary cost prior to your school's departure.
